Notification troubleshooting

If you have recently stopped receiving Grid Connect notifications from your devices or would like to start getting notifications and have not set this up, check these settings in your phone OS as well as the Grid Connect app settings to ensure reliable notification alerts.

Grid Connect App Settings (iOS and Android)
  1. Open the Grid Connect app.
  2. Tap the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner.
  3. Tap profile and settings.
  4. Tap notification settings.
  5. Ensure device alert is enabled, and system notification is on.  See screenshot below for an example of what this should look like

iOS Phone Settings
  1. Navigate to your phone Settings.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Scroll down until you see Grid Connect and tap on it.
  4. Enable the Allow Notifications slider, enable the various Alert Types, and enable Sounds (if desired).  See example screenshot below, which may vary slightly between different phone models and iOS versions.

Android Phone Settings
  1. Navigate to your phone Settings.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Tap App Notifications.
  4. Scroll down till you see Grid Connect and tap on it.
  5. Enable the Allow Notifications slider, Allow sound and vibration (if desired), and allow the various notification types.  See a sample screenshot below, which may vary slightly from device to device.

 

Additionally, check that all Notification Categories are enabled by tapping on Notification Categories.
