Pair your Chroma compatible device(s) to Wi-Fi via our Mobile App

Follow the Pairing Instructions included with your device to connect it your local 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network using the Grid Connect App

Download and Install Razer Synapse on PC

Download and install Razer Synapse software for your PC. Create an account if you do not already have one and download the Chroma Connect module, keeping Synapse open on your PC

Download and Install the Grid Connect Desktop App on PC

Download and install the Grid Connect Desktop App. When complete, open it up and generate a unique Login QR Code, keeping the Grid Connect Desktop App open. Be sure to select your correct region

Link your Grid Connect Mobile and Desktop Apps

In the Grid Connect Mobile App, go to your profile and click the scan icon. Use the camera on your mobile device to scan the unique Login QR Code generated in the previous step, to sync your compatible devices with your Grid Connect account

Note: If you're unable to log in to the desktop app, try switching to a different account region (e.g. AU or NZ) so it aligns with the region used for your mobile app account

Enable your Works With Razer Chroma RGB devices

In the Grid Connect Desktop App, toggle the ‘Enable All Devices’ slider ON or toggle the individual ‘Enable Razer Chroma RGB’ sliders to add your compatible lighting products to Razer Synapse. Once enabled, select the ‘Zone’ you want each light to be assigned to

Enable Grid Connect in Razer Chroma

In the Razer Chroma Synapse app, go to the 'Connect' tab and enable 'Grid Connect' to authorise Chroma for your Chroma-compatible Grid Connect products.

Now you're all set! Ready to customise 'til your heart's content

Troubleshooting and FAQ

Open both applications

Make sure Razer Synapse and Grid Connect Desktop App both remain open on your PC during setup.

Firewall Access

Ensure the Grid Connect Desktop App has access to Private Networks in your PC’s firewall settings.

  • Ensure that your firewall is allowing a 'private' connection for both the Grid Connect Desktop App and Razer Chroma.
  • Try restarting your PC and the Wi-Fi router

No, the Grid Connect Desktop app can only act as a connect for the Razer Chroma functions. If you wish to control the devices, please use the Grid Connect mobile app.

Ensure that Razer Chroma sync is switched off on your PC before controlling your Chroma-compatible Grid Connect devices on the Grid Connect mobile app.
