Below are ways you can secure your Grid Connect account to secure your Grid Connect products from unauthorised users
Check Your Home Settings
Remove Home Members
Remove home members from your home by:
- Go to the main app page
- Tap on the ‘location’ dropdown
- Tap ‘manage homes'
- Tap on your home name
- Select the member in the ‘home member’ section
- Tap ‘remove member’
Remove Shared Users from Devices
Remove users that have access to your device by:
- Tap on your Grid Connect device
- Tap on the ‘device settings’ button
- Tap on ‘Share device’
- Tap on ‘Sharing Management’
- Tap on the user to remove
- Tap ‘Unshare’ to remove them
Remove Additional Services
Disable Third Party Voice Control Services
Disable voice control services such as Google Home and Amazon Alexa
- Go to the main app page
- Tap on the ‘user’ icon
- Tap on either ‘Google Assistant’ or ‘Alexa’ in the ‘extra services’ window
- Tap on ‘Unlink’ to remove the voice control service from your account
Remove Grid Connect Services
Remove any Grid Connect services by:
- Go to the main app page
- Tap on the ‘user’icon
- Tap on ‘Grid Services’ in the ‘extra services’ window
- Tap on a service you want to delete
- Tap ‘unsubscribe’
Enable Additional Security Features
To find these settings, open the Grid Connect app and:
- In the main app page, tap on the 'user icon'
- Go to 'settings'
- Go to 'account security'
Dual Log-in Methods
Add your phone’s number and email address to your Grid Connect account in-case one of them is not accessible
Change Password
Change your Grid Connect password
Use Gesture Unlock
Every time you restart your phone or app, require a unique gesture to unlock the Grid Connect app on your phone
2-Step Login Verification
Whenever you log into the Grid Connect app, we will send you an sms message with a secure code to unlock the app. Make sure you always have access to the number that is bound to your Grid Connect account, otherwise you will be unable to log in.
If you only have an email address bound to your Grid Connect account, we will send you an email instead.
Manage Logged-In Devices
Check all phones that are currently logged into your Grid Connect account. You can choose to remotely log them out.
